Took these down on the river wall at Boyton marshes in Suffolk on Sunday afternoon. This is where my mother grew up on her parent’s farm and where I later lived as a teenager after my mum took the house on (the farm was sold when my grandfather died but my grandmother kept the house). Swear some of those dinghies haven’t moved since I was a child. The resolution of the photos (iPhone) isn’t good enough to show but you could see the Orford lighthouse and castle on the skyline to the north. Love it here.

Lovely. I know we love to repeat place names in Britain, but there's a Boyton in Wiltshire between Warminster and Salisbury.

What are the black dots in the sky behind it? More starlings or insects?
