I had an issue with the wheel centre badges of the Gorilla: they were tatty AND very sticky to undo when checking pressures. So four new OE ones were fitted for about £120 including VAT. Now it’s not that that’s expensive it’s the fact I now need to refurbish my wheels to match the smart new centres.

Unfortunately you’re about to discover they’ll start to delaminate in a few months. I changed all mine and I was gutted when they self destructed in such a short space of time.

How do they "work" to give access to the valve? Do you have a special key to remove the centres?
As for delaminating ...... spray them with a few coats of clear varnish/lacquer ?

How do they "work" to give access to the valve? Do you have a special key to remove the centres? You push the “P” of Alpina and it pops up so you can spin it round then access the lock for removing the whole centre.

I lost an Imola wheel centre from the TVR shortly after I got it. I managed to find two genuine NOS OZ centres and bought them both for not a lot.
They are unobtanium presently and go for a fortune when they rarely come up. One dropped off last year and I stuck it back on with RTV rather than use the single new spare I have. The plastic goes brittle with age and separates from the metal clip.
Tyre people tend to break them when removing them for balancing.
