Looks like he’s had a clear out of some of the hard left too. As a life long conservative voter I’m happy to see a more challenging opposition. Competition forces everyone to up their game and I think he gives Labour the best chance of being a real political threat. Well I think Boris' election victory was as much to do with him as it was with the opposition he faced. Kier Starmer looks much more electable and given 4 years to get in to the swing of being a party leader, he could be a real threat to the Tories in the 2024 election, especially now the pandemic looks set to leave Boris with a recession to deal with for a large proportion of his current term.

I think Starmer has missed a trick by not making Ed Miliband Shadow Chancellor, Rishi Sunak sounds exactly like Miliband and I think it would be funny if they were both being interviewed!
