I grew up with a house right on the beach which is where we used to play all the time. Most days we built a bonfire of some sort, sometimes to bake potatoes in and other times just because we could. We used to experiment with various things we found on the beach including aerosols. Even at 6 or 7 years old we knew that they had a dangerous side and always stood well back when someone threw one on the fire. If you got a good one, which exploded, it would totally destroy the fire and put it out. Other ones would act like flame throwers as the plastic top melted and allowed the gas to escape: all part of growing up and a great skill builder for any would be pyromaniacs. I still have a scar on a knuckle from a blob of molten plastic which landed on me!

So, smoking is hazardous to health, as for putting a plastic item with an aerosol bottle on a wood burning stove, wow.
