Take away the daft grille and the odd vertical light strakes front and rear and that is a very good looking car.

I have always liked the LC500 even with its front grill.

Beautiful car, even the grille works on that.

I'm not a fan of Lexus's styling, but I see a yellow one in the village every now and again and it works.

The coupe is fabulous, this one a little less so but still a lot nicer then an 8 Series or SL

I'm still not sure about the grille, but the rest of the Lexus styling works really well on that design. I expect that'll sell well in the US.

Isn't that actually quite a good residual performance for a V8 coupe at 2 years old? How do the normal opponents stack up?

That's the dealership I got my two Lexus from. Just round the corner.

The interior is fantastic!

The coupe version has long been the only Lexus I like and I agree on the interior, so this open version also gets the thumbs up from me.
Rear seats best described as "bonsai"...

Calling those things seats is stretching it, I am aware they all do it. Thing is, placing a, height challenged person, in them for any length of time probably qualifies as unlawful imprisonment.

Not enough car for the price tag, alas - other than its appearance.

An unnecessarily literal reading of the post, I fear. Autocar got low fives to 60 and mid-elevens to 100 - it's not fast enough to my way of thinking. I know there's more to life than speed, but if you're going for a V8 with nigh-on 500 bhp...

Yes, but you should know the appeal of one of the last NA V8s...although I guess yours is actually faster? What was 0-60 in your car?

I admire the way that Toyota is sticking with the naturally aspirated V8. Somehow, I hope it forms the basis of a new LFA, before it’s too late.

It didn't even occur to me that speed came into it, I thought you were suggesting it should have been a class size large which provoked me to wonder what this does actually compete with? I'm assuming it's more three series than 5.

Two up and full tanks, Autocar got 4.5 and 10.5 (but post-work it's noticeably quicker than that). I salute them for staying NA, but the stats are not amazing for the output.

It's meant to waft comfortably over long distances. In that respect I think it's good enough.

It is also RWD which in a straight 0-60 battle it is never going to win against a 4WD car but once rolling things get much more even. The new 4WD BMW 135i feels, according to the testers, a good bit slower than the old RWD 140i but the on paper stats would suggest they were much closer. Anyway, I think an LC would be a very stylish and quick way to travel and it has what can only be described as a feel good cabin.

Besides, being a wafter shouldn't stop the engine from doing its straight line stuff. S level performance with an RS price tag. And the M3/4 and C63 are both rwd, but put in better stats.
To reiterate, I'm not saying it's a bad car and I like the styling, it's just priced above itself from my perspective. Judging by how many you see, the world seems in broad agreement with me.
