Maybe the skateboards (they look like electric ones) are to be used to get you to your destination once the batteries in the car run flat?
So leaving aside the odd front lower grille treatment, that's basically an EV Passat estate.

The view from front 3/4 and high up (image at top of the thread) reminds me very much of the VX Insignia estate.
