Yes, I could live with one of those. A bit "all angles" under the front bumper but nothing that would put me off.

It'd be fine in a darker colour.
Is this the last of the small rwd coupes? If so I expect that due to its limited edition status a lot will be used sparingly and tucked away unless its dry & sunny.

Blue paint and gold wheels? Not seen that for a while.

Very nice, not sure I'd kick a GT4 out of bed for it but if its a fair bit cheaper it would make sense.

I like the look of that a lot but it will be hard core in the suspension department.

An M2 Competition lists at £51.5k and you can option one up to £60k.
How much is a GT4?

A GT4 is 75 basic but you're not leaving the showroom without spending between 85k and 90k

Like that a lot. Doubt if I will like the asking price. But overall - well done. Manual, adaptive suspension, handy size, plenty of power, noise and drama.

75k just seem too much for an M2
How much was the M3 CS when new? I see you can get a year old one for 60K now.

Ah, but this one is limited edition. Perhaps BMW have taken note of what's happened with other recent limited production driver's cars and priced it accordingly?

2,200 cars. Not that limited.
But I agree that it has an instant cult attraction that the M3/4CS entirely lacks.

I wonder if it will be £599 deposit and £599 a month like the new X3M?

They had an X4M on one of the carwow vids and he reckoned it was 80 grand!
The choice is yours...

Wow. A car finally to get excited about. That price, well, if you tricked up an M2C in various M Performance bits you would probably end up at a similar price. And in essence, a lot of the CS's cosmetic bits are from the M Performance catalogue. With this, the backbox doesn't stick out like it does on the M2C, but maybe a look in real life would be more definitive.

According to Evo the difference between this and a GT4 is £28.

Agree but as a car enthusiast I feel we're sort-of approaching the end of the line for these types of car and I think BMW are trading on that and its limited edition status to push the limit a bit. The fact that high-priced BMWs are residual death won't really be a factor.

I'm with you if its the M2 comp. And they start at 38k now for a year old model. Great value and won't be far off the CS.
Unlike a GT4 which does feel a lot more special then the standard Cayman.

I was about to say that for £75k, I'd rather have a GT4 than an M2CS. But then remembered your comment about not escaping the OPC without having spent £90k...whereas looking at it, I'd imagine there's not much left on the CS options list.

And the racing ones has been restricted in power output. I know it is so it conforms with some racing series they hope it will be popular for, but its nearly 90hp down on the road car!

But the article says there may be an upgrade package available to bring the power back up. It'll still be quicker than a road car around a track anyway and it's virtually the same price...

£75k plus upgrade cost for a track car.
Who are all these wealthy types that can spunk large amounts on something they can rarely use?
