So not an enterprise rental, but my coworkers car. He bought it on Saturday, a 2017 metallic grey sport, 6 speed manual with 23k on the clock.
Not going to say too much about it. It was a lot of fun to drive. The engine is responsive and sounds good, pulling well in most gears. Handling is very good, especially on dry roads that are twisty. I haven’t driven a manual much recently- I did drive my mates Jeep 2 weeks ago when we went rock crawling- but the clutch/gearbox is really crisp.
Brakes are exceptionally good, but then again, the car weighs nothing so they should be!
Overall, it’s only encouraged me to change my own car soon as it’s really feeling old now! Nicest Nissan I’ve driven so far. Probably the best car I’ve driven this year too.

I suspect it weighs rather more than you think!

I think its around 1600kgs from memory.
I was surprised at the engine in mine - the mags have always said its a gruff old thing that doesn't like to rev. Maybe that's what a low mileage, fresh out the box one is like but mine was always happy to go to the red line (7,500 rpm).
God I miss it.

Time for another one then, or a Mustang!

Time for another one then, or a Mustang! It's in the plan. Mrs Tim reckons the 370 was the most comfy car to sit in that she's ever tried.

Mrs Tim isn't keen on us getting another 3 series as the base is too long for her to be comfortable - when I get in after she's been driving it feels as though she has the seat tilted forward to make it easier for her. Clearly the seats aren't for people 5 feet tall! What was wrong with the Boxster?

Clearly the seats aren't for people 5 feet tall! What was wrong with the Boxster? The seat base is extendable with the bolster at the front and when it is fully in it is quite short. The seat back not only tilts like most seats but has a mechanism about 2/3rd of the way up the back which can tilt the top half forward further if necessary. We should have a meet up in St Andrews and you can have a seat when we are next through. The Boxster GTS has been the dream car for a friend of mine and he finally managed to get enough money to buy one (brand new). I just found the ride really brittle on the roads we were on and I had the feeling that a couple of years down the line the body would be well tired with flex everywhere. It would be great on nice smooth surfaces but I just found it a bit hard core to want to love it on our roads. I think I would be more tempted by a Boxster S. However as a place to sit and as an object to admire, I think it is really attractive and very nicely designed.

That sounds extremely dangerous to the health of my bank balance, but it would certainly be nice to see what I'm missing out on!
The condition of our roads is playing a part in my slow-motion decision about changing the 320. I don't see them getting any better anytime soon, sadly.

You will need to complain to your MP about the roads. I wrote to Jo Swinson about the state of the roads around me and we have had a summer long repair fest which is still going on. It makes for much smoother progress.

Next time you're through you'll hopefully notice that the road leaving Cupar towards St Andrews is better, they've finally resurfaced the bit that's had the top surface missing for a couple of years. Ther e are a couple of other areas they've done on backroads recently too but there's plenty more needing sorted.

I see a few at work and always think just how well these have aged, they still look really great in my eyes, especially in grey, and I still think the interior looks good too despite its age, love the deep set dials with a mix of digital and analogue and love the 3 extra dials. Can see why these appeal still
