There I am…idly waiting at a traffic light in Battersea of a late Sunday afternoon when a Gorilla draws up alongside with a cheery greeting…

Yes, as Racing said: his number plate kind of gives the game away. That interior colour does look VERY pleasant indeed. I was trying my best to be posh, but W2.0 remarked that Racing was "properly posh". I am just a gorilla in suit after all.

Was there a small TLGP?

If racing is that "proper posh", then the big question is, what was he doing in Battersea? Unless it's been very gentrified since I left London.....

Apparently (and I am not making this up), male Gorillas have exceptionally small private parts.
(Reminds me of a line from The Tall Guy: 'I hope all your children grow up to have little dicks. And that includes the girls.'

...only kidding (although it is)...I had been to what is my nearest Halfords to exchange a faulty bottle of Meguiars detailing spray (good for cleaning the car off before putting the cover on) and was off to slum it further at Sainsbury's on the way home...

I let Mr Four Exhausts go...(a) because we were in two lanes turning sharp right and it didn't seem a smart idea and (b) well you'd want to hear what the Gorilla sounds like too, wouldn't you?
Good is the answer, by the way....

That would be when I was having a complete brain-fart as to what her name was...to my embarrassment...and thus doing a passable "Tim-Nice-But-Dim" impersonation.
She did say something about you yelling excitedly to your family's general bemusement "it's Jonny" or words to that effect!

Yes, that turn onto York Road not the best for TLGP. Glad someone has heard it! At full chat it does this funny ignition retard thing at gear change so makes a blow back noise. I am very familiar with the Shell Station on the York Road just up from Wandsworth Bridge roundabout; I think it's my number one filling station for both car and bike.

It's just an immense building site as far as I know. Apparently the plant on site at the power station site is responsible for between 20 and 30% of London's smog problem depending on what's going on.

I prefer the Shell opposite Dolphin Square or the Shell on Fulham Palace Road - both are several pence per litre cheaper.

Tadema Road is another and yes, the Dolphin Square one I frequent as well (although saying you frequent Dolphin Square to fill up or for a splash-and-dash has all kinds of connotations): in fact the Gorilla was full of Dolphin Square V-Power when you saw it.

It must be something about you Jonny. I saw you in your M135i on Kings Road once; I was travelling the other way in the in-laws' car...

Was that pre- or post-selling the Z1 and thus fitting the M135i with my git-plate? The plate does murder any chance of anonymity, although if I want that I can simply borrow the wife's car. Every third car in our part of town is a white Fiat 500.
Somebody on here once said they saw my Z1 parked up on the Kings Road - I have a feeling it was either NGE or Bryan but I do not recall exactly.

Can whoever is on the roster to watch Jonny on June 8th make sure he doesn't go near a polling station?

I can't recall. It would have been about three years ago if that helps.

Absolutely not, it's more about frustrating the will of the people.
