I noticed that, too.
Quite like the look of it, but I'm staying put.

2065kgs.
Wow.
And, given Audi's (and everyone else's) propensity to lie through their teeth about kerbweights, I expect it to be significantly more than that.

Thats about 250kg heavier than the official kerb weight for the 750.

The last two BMWs weighed by Autocar were 127 and 184 kgs over quoted weight.
They're all at it!

Do manufacturers quote the bog car and supply a motor with everything, including the kitchen sink?

Some of them quote the kerb weight and others quote it dry, i.e. with no fluids, which seems unreasonable as you couldn't drive it like that.

Our quoted weight for the Mono is dry.

Our quoted weight for the Mono is dry. With driver or driver and passenger...?

Manufacturers also probably quote a weight (wet or dry) for the boggo prison-service spec base car. Options add loads of weight. By the time you add bigger wheels, heavier seats, sunroof, extra this and extra that the weight will soon creep up.

There are relatively new rules about how official weights are now quoted. Can't remember the exact details but it's something like you have to quote the weight of the model with no options on it plus the 75kg "driver plus luggage" amount. This means that you cannot quote dry weights, and you also cannot quote the lightest possible configuration from your options list (for example if you could spec the car with say carbon ceramic brakes, lightweight bucket seats, no satnav and a lithium-ion battery).
This has meant, for instance, that the quoted weight of the 718 Cayman GT4 is 80kg more than the quoted weight of the 981 Cayman GT4, but apparently it's only about 30kg heavier like-for-like.
The RS7 Sportback is still pretty heavy though!
