Nobody else look, it's really not worth it. 65 plate RAV4. In white. It has a 2.0 diesel engine with 124bhp, and 4WD. To be fair, its nice enough to drive (rides well on 18s, seat is good, its really refined on the motorway and has NAV, cruise etc) and you can't complain about thespace. Its enormous in the back, and the back seats recline! . It replaces a 57 plate Yaris 1.3 that had done 180,000 miles. She said she'd run it in to the ground, she sure did. Original plan was to sell mine and have one nice car that she uses in the week, and I use at weekends (and we keep the Yaris) . I wanted something quick and fun, she wanted a SUV. Ateca Cupra was considered and I nearly talked her into a 340i Touring, but she couldn't get on with estates. I also thought how much fun is an Ateca really going to be. We've made the right choice, as now she has the RAV4, i get to keep mine, most importantly. She loves it. It's much better than the Yaris, and should hopefully provide a good few years of trouble free motoring. roll rpg dice

Thanks Andy!
The most important points are that she likes it and you’ve been able to keep yours. I’m always interested in hearing about proper ownership experiences, no matter what the car.
You need to go in an influencing course if you were close to getting her into a 340i, would be well worth it!

If she is happy, then everyone is happy. Looks like it is ideal for the job it has to do and will no doubt be indestructible. Keeping the Focus is a huge bonus as well, of course.

Is the power output a typo? 2 litre diesel and 124bhp does not sound good ! 142 maybe ?

Looks fine for what it is. My 'big' boss recently traded her 2-year old A180 in for a new one of these (she had an example of the previous model before that). Part of the reason, apart from wanting to get back into a Toyota, was the height makes it easier to get in & out of - she isn't getting any younger y'know!

It looks OK, a far cry from the first gen thing that I still associate with the name.

Just back from a service and we noticed Toyota have introduced ‘Relax’
If the car is under 10 years old and 100k, as long as it’s serviced at a Toyota dealer, you get a full years warranty . What a great idea.
Lexus also do it , and there’s 1 IS-F on AT that’s under 10 years old…
