Can Mercedes bounce back from their German "carmageddon" ? The forecast is for nothing like as much rain as in Germany

But a tight and twisty track suits the high downforce RedBull and not the long wheelbase Merc! The Ferrari also suits this kind of track better so it will be interesting.

So Max is on pole, and sits about 60 points behind Lewis with 10 races still to play out. Given Lewis is a pretty consistent points scorer when he isn't winning, is it too much of a stretch to see Verstappen mount a title challenge? My money would still be on Lewis as it stands but it would be some story if he did.

Tactics win the day and make for an exciting end to the race.
Will Bottas still be there after the break? Will Ocon be any better?

Bottas has at least got more experience of being consistently in the points and as Mercedes have a driver perfectly adept at winning the drivers title all they need from their second driver is to add the extra points needed to secure the constructors title, and Bottas is doing that. That said, if Mercedes feel that Max could mount a title challenge then Ocon could be seen as bringing a new lease of life to the second seat and could help see off any threat from the Red Bull.

I don't believe that Ocon would be any faster than Bottas although Mercedes may have some data from testing/simulation.
Bottas has done a pretty good job as No2 driver and if Ocon is faster that might just lead to some clashes with Hamilton.

Thing is with Red Bull is that they're in a similar situation with a big gulf between the performance of their two drivers.

I think that Bottas can come good, he is no more broken than Gasly but I think Gasly is more likely to be demoted to Torro Rosso or removed completely. Who would replace him though? Not much chance of Danny being imported, he would upset Max too much. Albon does not seem to be quite there yet and Kvyatt, well they tried that before.

Would Ocon do any better? Replacing Bottas is a tough call to make and I cannot see it happening mid-season, if indeed it happens at all.

The sensible thing to do would be to keep Bottas until the end of the season and, with an eye to Hamilton's abilities waning and subsequent retirement, bring on some promising understudy. Leclerc would've been ideal perhaps.
