Saturday saw my annual pilgrimage to the Pre-War Prescott event, informal gathering of pre-war cars with un-timed runs up the hill, posh picnics under the trees and general Mr Toad type activity.
Lots of MGs in attendance

The Alvis Owners Club always puts in a good attendance
Supercharged Wolseley Hornet Special. These go like stink and sound superb:
A very pretty Lancia:
Bentley:
Vauxhall
Talbot
This Talbot, originally from France, was about the most perfect example of 'oily rag' originality I have seen. Looks as if it might still have had the original 1920s air in the tyres:
Lagonda
This Lagonda was in the public car park. I thought I was going to come in my pants...
Of course, a certain Standard Big 9 was there and gamely ascending the hill, all 26 of its brake horses straining at the leash...
A new approach (keep in a low gear and rev the nuts off it) resulted in a record attempt for the old girl, in just a fraction over two minutes travelling five up
All in all another superb day at Prescott.
