I hope there are enough customers each year to ensure that BAC can thrive sustainably and profitably, and keep Blarno on the (chips and) gravy train for as long as he wants. It's just a shame that the price of entry is probably realistically beyond what 99% of the UK adult car enthusiast population could justifiably afford. I'd love a go in one

What would it cost to get close to the performance of the Mono, in a track day? Is that not a reasonable way to get close to the experience. The best I have done was a Caterham day which I doubt gets into the same continent time/experience wise.

It's not strictly speaking an F3 chassis, more based on one and isn't as pricey as you would think. We moved away from the Cosworth engine 4 years ago and went direct to Mountune as it is larger, torquier and more powerful.
Looking at some of our lap times and the company we keep at that end of the leaderboard, I don't know what else you could buy that would equate to that level of performance without spending 2 or 3 times as much. I suppose that's why we don't consider Ariel or Caterham our rivals.

An Atom 4 would be my choice in this segment for vaguely sensible money. I don't doubt that any Mono is a significant step on, but it's in a completely different stratosphere price-wise for what would always be an occasional use toy in the first place.
Diminishing returns and all that. Same in every area!

Feel is very subjective and I reckon the average driver would not even notice many of the nuances that make hypercars what they are. I don't just mean the driver of a Focus 1.6 either, I doubt drivers of a lot of quite high end cars would have the ability to tell what was so special about these beast's without training. All of this imvho of course and I am aware folk here have a sight more, insight, than most.

The average driver would be shit scared of a hypercar and never get anywhere near to finding nuances let alone feeling them - they're just too good and fast.
A new colleague was on gardening leave for a month before joining us at the beginning of January this year. That meant a month without his company car so he fell back on his Atom 4 as a daily driver. In December!!!

Respect to that chap! When I was at GKN during the Melrose takeover defence, one of the consultants at the firm that GKN was paying loads of money to help defend the takeover used to drive his Exige V6 to Redditch every time he was on site, from January through to April. Respect to him too. Occasionally I'd commute in the GT4 but not every day!
