Was in Lidl this evening. Went in for milk and bread, left with milk, bread, a set of screwdriver bits, an extension cord and a 2023 Beano annual.
They’re all for me 😜

Waiting outside the school. I’m off work and had to run to the diy place so decided to pick up the kids instead of them walking home. There are a lot of learner drivers on lessons here. Got stuck behind one who was taking a long time to move off at the lights and turn left. Wouldn’t mind only they were in an electric 208. They while parked, observed someone taking a long time to park, while another guy drove his Micra in and reversed into a space in seconds, then saw another car come flying by, with a mother and kids inside (Mazda 3 in case you need to know), the wrong way down a one way street.
My kids go to the same school as these peoples offspring…

I wonder if all the current protests over lockdown in China might prompt the beginning of the end of communism there.....

Over the last three journeys my Evoke rates my driving as 98% Also... I've been struggling to get in in the drive as it pauses getting up the kerb and I'm nervous getting on the accelerator in case it surges forward and I hit a post but I had the idea of sticking it in 1st gear and... it now just goes in beautifully

If they go, the Russians will be next. Quite soon after when Pootin's comrades abandon the sinking ship. Will we have a 1917 replay?

I wonder if all the current protests over lockdown in China might prompt the beginning of the end of communism there..... Communism in China ended twenty years ago. The current regime has such a strong grip on power I can’t see it being supplanted.

I wonder if all the current protests over lockdown in China might prompt the beginning of the end of communism there..... It's more of a dictatorship now with those at the top prepared to do anything in their power to suppress dissent. If China ever changes it will be through the huge bravery of an uprising and massive loss of life. The only hope might be that the ordinary soldiers in the armed forces switch sides when ordered to kill their families and neighbours. Peacefully demonstrating and calling for regime change is just going to land people in jail or worse because these types of regime are only interested in their own survival and maintaining their privileged positions!

I got a new sim card for a new smartphone today.
What a faff on.
Filling in an on line form I kept getting a very long error message so I rang their help desk and of course they couldn't see and had no knowledge of this online form, that would be too much to ask.
How people get addicted to these hatful things I just don't know.
Mrs WW is one who is addicted and can't put hers down and worse still she fiddles with mine too.

I’ve never heard of having to fill in an online form for a smartphone SIM? Moving my old mobile PAYG phone number to the new contract phone with a PAC. So, you have to fill out a form but due to some sort of tech issue it just kept giving me an error message consisting of a very long string of characters. So I rang them. It's suppose to take 2 days but it's been longer than that and I now have two phones that don't work. I'll give them a few more days.

I can't recall ever having to fill in a form to get a PAC - it was always done over the phone and came through by text - maybe it is something to do with PAYG and contract phones - could it be the phone contract?

I can't recall ever having to fill in a form to get a PAC - it was always done over the phone and came through by text - maybe it is something to do with PAYG and contract phones - could it be the phone contract? It's the 1st time I've done this so I don't know, maybe it varies from company to company. This is Lyca mobile and following ther instruction I had to fill in an online form... From the Lyca website... "Bringing your current number to Lyca Mobile has never been easier before. Call your current provider and ask for your Porting Authorisation Code (PAC code). Get your Lyca Mobile SIM Fill our Online Porting Form and your existing mobile number will be replaced on your Lyca Mobile SIM within 2 working days. Please note: Lyca Mobile has porting arrangements established with the majority of UK mobile network providers. If you experience problems filling the form call Lyca Mobile customer care on 02071320322 for more help." PS. I really don't like mobile phones and I have no interest in them but I feel anxious now going out without one in case something happens and I need to phone the AA, police, home or whatever. Pen and paper will have to do until the new one starts working

I hate mobile moans, everywhere I go I see folk with their phone stuck to their heads oblivious to the owlrd outside of those regions.
They will walk right into me on occasion and glare at me like it was MY fault for being in their way. I will not get that no matter how long I am around. Can they seriopusly not manage without talking to someone for thit=rty seconds?

I hate to see women ignoring heir kids and fixating on their phone. I took my mam to the town centre on Thursday in a wheelchair and the zombies were a right royal PITA. Also, people in shops tend to stand back when looking at something and can block an aisle. They must be able to see me pushing the chair towards them and yet they stand there until I politely ask them if we can squeeze through, this happens time after time.

Just come across the info for the Ka I had on PCP from June 2014.... £7842 after taking the Ford finance contribution into account. That won't buy you much in the way of a brand new car today

I think one of the newer aspects of life now is when you catch up with someone you haven’t spoken to in a while and find out where they’re at. Yesterday, I caught up with a guy I worked with in my previous job, he’s moved away and is loving his life in Southern California- I don’t blame him getting out of the Bay Area. Another colleague contacted me through LinkedIn and said he’s trying to arrange a get together for a bunch of us in a few weeks time. It should be a laugh- we always enjoyed working together. Then today, I heard that a coworker from my last job who was having marital problems with her husband Ethan, is now married to the same person, only Ethan is now Cecelia and is well on the way to being fully transgender. They’ve always been what people would call an odd couple, but really, why the hell would you call yourself after that Simon and Garfunkel song?

Two guys in work today in deep conversation. I walked over to them and said: “Two fish are in a tank and one turns to the other and says ‘how do you drive this thing?’”
They both burst out laughing and one said “Tell Aaron” The other replied “he won’t get it” “He will” “How much do you bet?” “A fiver” “Done”
So I walked over to Aaron and told him the joke. “I don’t get it” he replied. “You’re after costing me a fiver!”
Aarons nickname is Lightbulbhead because it’s shaped like one and he’s not the brightest…
