Some of the blokes wandering round our place I can't work out whether they are undergoing chemo or have joined Combat 18.

I've just shaved my head again. Wife isn't happy. Sorry, but I want to be comfortable. Looks are very much secondary and it's at least 6 weeks before the Barbers open again. I'd had enough yesterday and took the clippers to my hair. According to the spacer I fitted it was supposed to be a number 6, but I fear that measurement must be in microns rather than mil. Mrs PG was a bit shocked, but hey, it will grow out....

I'm booked in for a second trim with Lindsay on Saturday morning, she's feeling a lot more confident so is going to risk cutting a bit more off this time..... I'm never told what to do, but when I suggested shaving my head it got close as it ever has done!

Mrs Tim cut my hair at the weekend. She's done it before but not for a few years. It's alarming how grey the sides are all of a sudden.

That is not a number 3, more like a US marine special but no white walls.

Hope I'm not tempting fate with the weather but I've taken my summer dressing gown out to use from this evening, and put the winter one in the washing machine

Filled up this afternoon and went to Tesco as it's pay at pump, 99.9p a litre for the economy stuff and 106.9 for Premium. So a tank full of the good stuff cost less than £80, about £15 less than it was in Feb/Mar and only 14.5p per mile.

Eating an orange Club biscuit. I remember when I were a kid that you could nibble all the chocolate off them first because it was applied so generously. It now seems to have been sprayed on because it's only about 2 microns thick and you can see the biscuit bit through it!

Club biscuits were great, not had one for years though. I think all chocolate bars/biscuits have much reduced chocolate, diet doncha know, same or higher price tho'.

I was always a Penguins kid (red and blue ones tasted better), but Jacobs Club we’re always thickly covered in chocolate and you could nibble off chunks of it. Not had one for years though.

At least the custard creams the wife bought from Tesco the other day can still be eaten the proper way, top biscuit removed and eaten first before nibbling the cream off the bottom biscuit. Annoys me when they don't make them so they can be separated.
