Yes. As long as the stuff still works how I want it then I don't care. I'll be annoyed if they suddenly say Spotify is no longer compatible, but will deal with that when it happens. I’m the same. Just had the email and it’s mildly annoying, but I don’t have the same issue as Simon. It always works, maybe because we use at least 2 of them every day? I only use ours for music occasionally, usually when we have guests over. All I want to do is play some tunes while we eat dinner, but I always seem to have to jump through hoops to do so. Also, if you want to play your own music you have to rescan the library in order to see any new additions. Annoying!

I was very tempted to go with Yamaha Music cast stuff, but didn't want to buy new. To be fair, the amount I paid for the Sonos stuff was about half of what it would have all been new.

Same here, although we mainly have the radio on using Tunein during the day.

My wife has ours (mine) linked into Alexa and you can just speak to it and ask it to play anything. It's a bit surreal at first but you soon get used to it.

My TV has a Spotify app so I mostly use that because the TV is connected to an amp.

What's this? In the past 3 months we've spent quite a bit buying Sonos kit and play music to it from Spotify. I won't be happy if that changes.

They're stopping support for older devices in May. As long as you're buying new kit you'll be alright. www.whathifi.com/news/sonos-to-cease-support-for-older-products-in-mayI only have two bits of theirs and the one that is affected isn't used anyway. It's a Connect attached to a stereo that has a broken remote and can't be used without it. I'm refusing to pay£50 for a new one!

I got a replacement remote for a Musical Fidelity preamp from this place, not pretty (which didn't matter as I only wanted the codes) but functional:

Might be worth a look?

The unit I have has all the controls on the remote (Ruark R4) and the remote actually forms part of it. It was always crap and then just stopped working altogether. Doubly annoying is that it takes AAAA batteries, which I never knew existed until I had buy some!

Just talked my colleague into signing up for a new M240i. Nothing so strange in that apart from their current whip is a mighty Nissan Pixo with a huge 68hp on tap. Thats a proper upgrade.

This could be their last opportunity to sample more than 4 cylinders in a small car. Economy, insurance and servicing might be a bit different - are they prepared for that?

Recommendation for changing tyres at 4mm a bit cheeky!

Recommendation for changing tyres at 4mm a bit cheeky! I saw that too. I remember when I had a Mercedes that they used to recommend changing tyres at every service and they would quote the mm of tread and just hope you were gullible enough to tell them to change them. Brake discs are the current scam. I now have a digital vernier so when they tell me they need replaced I can work out what percentage they are worn. Most discs can take about 2mm wear before being considered at their limit.

The front discs on my car have a wear limit of 2mm and they have indicators on them as there are 1mm deep dimples on the outside face.
My dealer also quoted me for new rear tyres at the last service and they were around 4-4.5mm. Does remind me that they're closer to 2.5 now, though!

Recommendation for changing tyres at 4mm a bit cheeky! Good luck with that. The lease company wont give you new boots until you're practically running on sticks! Car is nice and clean. It's done a few miles this week so it was nice and dirty for them.

I love how in a 90 second video they spend the first 45 seconds explaining at great length and speaking really slowly what all the colour coding means and then the poor mechanic has to sprint round and talk really quickly.

Minor celebrity who everyone assumed was gay says he’s gay and it’s on the BBC news headlines for Christ’s sake! World’s gone mad.

I can honestly say I made no assumption about his (or anyone else's) sexuality one way or another, mainly because a/ I don't care and b/ it's none of my business. I too fail to understand why it's news though.
