Indeed; I was in a slow-moving queue of cars on a dual carriageway approaching traffic lights on Tuesday evening, next to a black Mustang V8; sounded good (even if it must have been using a hell of lot more fuel than me !) However I don't think that black is its best colour

Good luck indeed. Doesn't alter my belief that there should be compulsory retesting beyond a certain age, though!

However I don't think that black is its best colour Yellow with black stripes is the way to go.
My best mate works for a bodyshop in Perth (we tested a Mustang from the Perth Ford dealer) and he says they've had quite a few brand new ones through for 'rectification' prior to sale, i.e. fit, finish & paint standards aren't the best when they come off the boat from the US.

I reckon this is what Prince Philip will do, now that he's standing down from most other things

I reckon this is what Prince Philip will do, now that he's standing down from most other things It'd have to be one of the Shelby Super Snake versions then - that crazy old fool races horse & carriages for fun - a cooking one just wouldn't give the same thrill.
