(A marshall ran across the track in front of his car and IIRC he was killed by the impact with the marshall's fire extinguisher). Hard to believe that he'd be 70 if he'd lived

Not well tbh. Thankfully marshals are a sight more professional now. Running across the track with a race on, not even under yellow flags. Criminal.

Horrible accident. The marshal was a teenager IIRC and almost cut in two and Pryce was virtually decapitated by the impact. The car kept going until it reached the next bend.

Just to clarify my point. Marshal's are trained to a much higher standard now and the loss of both lives is down to poor oversight at the time. Marshal's put themselves in harms way and that enables the motorsport we watch to continue, the loss of the marshal is just as tragic as the loss of the driver
