My car came with the MDrivers pack which gives me an intensive day's driver training "at a track near you".
I have enquired a couple of times and it appears BMW haven't yet finalised the UK dates but the likely options are Silverstone in Sept/Oct and Donington Park in July.
Does anyone have experience of these two tracks and which might be a better experience?
EDIT I could also do it in Europe but I am not sure what it would be like having instructions in German

Personally, I found Silverstone tricky as it is so wide. A quick Google suggests Donnington is more interesting due to elevation changes.

Personally I’m a massive fan of Silverstone. You need something with some shove but then the M5 I had plenty of that. Donnys good if a little short, craners and Mcleans are great corners but then Silverstone has maggots Becketts and copse.
I should add that Silverstone is great if your doing the GP circuit only. The shorter tracks miss out on some of the better corners and therefore I’d take Donington as the option

Over and over.

I was looking at the BMW driving experiences and one of the pages covered what you get with the M Drivers pack. It was the mainland European version, but looked really good. The only issue I could see was they offered the M2 and M4 competition as standard but wanted another 500 euros to use the M5 competition as the training vehicle.
Is that the same in the UK?

I have no idea Martin and information is scant to say the least. I have the feeling that someone added the M Drivers Pack to the UK options and didn't tell anyone so they are now trying to find out how to make it work.

Not quote the polished Porsche Experience then.

Donington is a great circuit. Fast in places, good elevation changes (charging down through Hollywood and into the Craner Curves is excellent) and also some tight turns such as Esses and Melbourne Hairpin. I've driven at Donington on 3 trackdays and enjoyed it immensely. Never driven at Silverstone but as alreadybsaid it will be a fair bit wider and less elevation. I'd choose Donington. Plus it's 30 mins from here so I might be tempted to pop over and watch if I'm free.

I've driven both, and would choose Donington.
