Sorry but I must be missing something here.........Coupe?!! Manufacturers are using it to make hatchbacks sound more sporty! Audi did it with the A5, then there's the 4 series Gran Coupe, GLC/GLE Coupe etc etc Calling it a coupe isn't as mad/funny/daft as the 'Lightweight Sports Package' which takes next to nothing (up to 22kg) off the 2.3 tonnes kerbweight!!

Er, I like the seats. Too be fair it’s a lot nicer then the X6 or GLE I’m not righting off suv coupes as I’m a big fan of the Q8 It's better looking than a Q8, which is spoilt by the really ugly grille. You need to spend £7,500 to get those seats on the Turbo, or £10,500 on the standard model if you want a proper leather interior as well. You do get a number of other options as, some worth having, some not and you lose the panoramic glass roof. Lightweight Sports Package - £7,482 The use of lightweight materials reduces the vehicle weight by up to 22 kg. The lightweight sports package consists of the following features: - Contoured carbon roof - 22-inch GT Design wheels in Black (satin finish) - Sports exhaust system with twin dual-tube tailpipes (Turbo only) - SportDesign Package - Air intake grilles in Black (matt) - Airblades in Black (matt) - Partial leather interior in Black with seat centres in textile with classical checked pattern - Roof lining in Alcantara - Heated multifunction Sports steering wheel with rim in Alcantara® - Carbon interior package - Diffuser trims in carbon

What sort of fuckwit would part with that much to save 1% of vehicle mass?

I like it. Tis a shame the Turbo gets those silly shaped zorsts, though, so I'll have the orange one, ta.
ETA: that spoiler is proper crap...

You can upgrade to sports pipes or a full sports exhaust, both of which give you 4 x nice round pipes. The orange one has the optional pack which includes a sports exhaust on the Turbo

Not really. Coupe means cut. Cut a bit of roof off a Cayenne and you get a Cayenne Coupe.

The literal definition of a coupe is a car with a lowered, fixed roof and a sloping rear so this just passes as one. Historically, it was a four wheeled carriage with room for two passengers. It does derive from the French for "cut" but means a shortened carriage or a lowered roof, not an open top one - which would be roadster/convertible or spyder. The number of doors doesn't come into it.
Anyway, it is certainly one of the more desirable SUVs out there and is sure to be great to drive. I'd have one in a shot.

Er, haven't they just run a Macan through the photocopier at +10%?
I've got a Coupe at home. It has 2 doors and no hatchback.

As per usual with these things, I don't see the point of it. Unless you want a Cayenne with less boot space and possibly less headroom for (I expect, knowing Porsche) more outlay.
A fool and his money...

Fastback sort of works for this. It is fast and, erm, has a back. I still can't get my head around the i-Pace being an SUV as it doesn't look like one at all.

To be honest I've never really been sure what qualifies a vehicle as a Sports Utility Vehicle anyway.

None of them, because they fail on at least one of the first 2 letters every time. Not much is sporty or utilitarian about them. If I wanted to go fast and carry stuff, I wouldn't be buying a nearly 3 tonne land yacht on stilts.

Obviously it's all marketing stuff but I've always assumed it was a means of complimenting a sporty lifestyle rather than being sporty itself. Mine naturally does nor compliments either but it does have more utility than the new Discovery which is I trend I'm hoping isn't applied to the Defender.
