Thoroughly enjoyable day there yesterday - meal then a guided tour (90 mins plus), complete with some inside stories. Guide was very personable and knowledgeable, and the souvenir section was astoundingly inexpensive. Well worth £60 a head. Apologies for some of the pics - I only realised that the flash was off towards the end - d'oh...
Note Rosberg's LMNIS - the circular hole. (Last Minute Nicotine Infusion System...)
The six-wheeler would have been 12s per lap quicker, they think...
The cars all run from time to time, and on vintage tyres. These are removed for x-ray beforehand to ensure they are safe.
Where Schumacher tried to do to Villeneuve what he had previously done to Hill:
The Great Man's initials:
All a further 20% off, so at £40:
Unused, from 2005, at £8:
Used (in some capacity) from 2012, £32:
Well worth your time and money. Apparently, you can pay to go and watch a GP there, and get insight from their people on site and in situ...

Interesting stuff.
Got a feeling an old friend works there, but we've not been in touch since I quit Facebook.

That's just utterly superb. I think I need to take William. I shall probably come back with far too many souvenirs, though.

At least you know it won't bankrupt you.

One more reason to take a holiday in England! And the photos are fine, lack of flash isn't readily evident on many of them.

Forgot to mention that the trophies not in cabinets you are actively given permission to hold, including on a podium for pics if you want.

It’s a great place. I was lucky enough to have to go to a work conference there a few years back and we were allowed to wander round the museum. Just 2 of us when I was in there, most people weren’t interested, the other person was Lindsay and we started dating not long afterwards, it a complete coincidence! Her uncle used to work to Williams back in the 70s/80s/90s, driving one of the transporters and working in the pits over the race weekends. He’s got some great stories.
We keep talking about going back, must actually do it.

We keep talking about going back, must actually do it. What about trying to organise a Forum meet-up there if you do ?

I watched Brasil 2017 there and did the tour. Fantastic place and your entire childhood of F1 unfolds in front of you.

Dan G did an event there for one of the GPs last year or the year before, think it might have been Mexico. I'd definitely be on for a Forum meet there sometime. Thanks for sharing!
