If windscreen policies generally allow one windscreen claim per year, does that mean a year must have elapsed, or is it one per year of cover usually (i.e. a year from the payment date)?
I had one recently, now I have another crack, but the insurance is due for renewal in early April and it's not in my field of view, or worsening (it does need changing).
Thanks!

I would think it is per insurance policy year - so whenever you have renewed your policy, any time after the inception of that policy (not necessarily the day it is paid)

Cheers - that's certainly what I'll try! I'll also be adding my (German, had a her-fault accident a year ago) GF to the policy, but moving the location from the street in Winchester (which added loads of £ to the policy) to her drive in a quiet suburban Newbury address, so the balance of all that will be interesting!!!

Not come across a restriction on windscreen claims before. As has been said, best to check the policy wording

I'd have to check, but I'm sure at least two, if not three, of my five Legacy screen replacements were in the same calendar and insurance years with only the £75 excess payable each time. Bloody good job on an £1100 screen!!

Bloody good job on an £1100 screen!! Five??! Sorry, no; it had 5 screens in total - 4 replacements! Three stone chips that grew and the wee fucktard who tried to break in to the car (after my ipod) through the windscreen - you know, the single weakest bit of glass on any car!! /sarcasm mode off
