I'm confused, where does this fit in the extensive range of identikit VW Group mid-size SUVs?
Is it just Skodas version of the new Cupra thing with a set of BMW alloys on it?
Also, remember when everyone took the piss out of Jeep for styling a car with slit like headlights? Well, looks like they were ahead of the game.

Yay! Another pretend off roader.
Is the fast version going to be called the Aze?

Is that the headlight or a DRL?
Like Tim, I really don't think VAG need any more crossovers/SUVs. Apparently Audi are slotting another two into their range with a Q4 and Q6 imminent and that doesn't include the electric versions, as there are bound to be smaller E-Trons coming!

I really would rather have a Juke.

There won't be many normal cars left on the road at this rate. Maybe all these SUV's have been designed to morph into big battery carrying EV's in the future.

Now if they gave it the 280PS engine or the 237PS twin turbo diesel, it might be half decent.

rather smart that, I like. Especially like the Karoq...if a mildly torquey Skoda (from the Octavia vRS diesel) 180bhp+ diesel was put in with a manual 'box then I'd seriously look at one

Then it'll be another VAG car to steal sales off the newly launched Cupra brand by offering the exact same thing with a different badge. The wheels remind me of some seen on the first gen BMW X1.

What with the T-Roc R and what skoda are up to, it is almost as if VW are actually trying to kill the Cupra brand. Perhaps some at VAG never wanted SEAT to do it in the first place?

With the exception of height It is the same size as the Yeti. Why they didn't make it taller/boxier and call it the new Yeti I don't know. Seems madness to throw away the brand recognition to me, maybe to help sales of Karoq?

There is also the SQ2, which is pretty much the same as the T-Roc R, but more expensive of course.
