Curiously, this morning as I came off the M3 alongside me was a hearse based on the previous shape (3-box) Jag XJ. It looked dire

I’m particularly loving that the boot lid seems to be the standard item.

For any petrolhead, that is the way to take your last journey.

What's the point? Most hearses in the UK get driven at about 15 mph when they have a passenger on board so why go to the trouble of ruining a Porsche to make one...

No, I don't like Porsches so I think that'd be the worst way to go.

A cardboard box shoved in the back of a Transit will do for me.

I mean, you're going to be dead anyway, so why does it matter what you're getting carried in? Not like you can do anything about it.
Shove me on a burning raft and punt me out to sea.

I have maintained for years that there is definitely a market for motoring enthusiasts to be transported on their final journey by car in something rapid and noisy. The company would, of course, be called PetrolDeads.
That Panamera fits the bill nicely. Now can someone go and butcher a V8 Maserati Quattroporte?

I've got to say I see nothing wrong with paying respect to the deceased by giving them a send off in something you know they would appreciate. My Dad always loved Mercedes (although he only got to own one) and when he died I made sure the funeral undertaker supplied a Mercedes hearse. I know it makes no difference to the person being carried in the back but it was the only way I had to show a final act of love and kindness.
I'll have a Caterham towing a trailer with a coffin please.

That Panamera looks like some horrid lash up from James Bond “Diamonds are Forever”.
