The Land Rover Freelander 1 is known as a Hippo due to an advert at the time.

Why, oh why do I click on PH links. Every time I do it I get tempted to read the comments and then get reminded how many nobheads hang around there.

A rear spoiler on a Bentley. How very ungentlemanly and crass.

Urus over Bentayga but I can’t seee ever spending my money on either, I’d rather save cash and get a new Cayenne Turbo or FF RR.
I’ve just been looking around a new Q8, which my next door neighbour has bought for his wife to replace her Leaf (he’s the one with a 740LD and V8 Mustang), it’s a 50tdi Vorsprung so has an equipment level I’d be happy with and Daytona grey with black grille helps with the frot end styling but it’s still an ugly bugger from the front. The rest looks OK, probably helped by the immediate competition of X6 and GLE Coupe being so ugly!
Despite nappa leather seats / dash and the latest Audi interior tech, I wasn’t hugely impressed with the interior. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice, but not £80k nice and feels like a step down in from a 7 series, as an example of a saloon you can get for the same price.

I'd save even more and have an XC60 or XC40, but then my lifestyle/income are at a different level ! Even if I won the lottery I'd find it hard to justify spending so much money on a vehicle

I'd save money by buying an estate!

I’d rather save cash and get a new Cayenne Turbo or FF RR. I'd rather burn the money and dangle my testicles over the ensuing fire than buy a so called FF Range Rover. All driven by cunts. They drive like cunts, park like cunts and act like cunts when they're not in their cunty cars. They always say 'the Range Rover' as opposed to my car, like normal non cunty people do. "I've parked the Range Rover over there, blocking three other cars that aren't as good as Range Rovers from moving, but that's okay, isn't it?" I got knocked off my bike by one when I was younger because pulling out to go around a cyclist was obviously the non-cuntish thing to do and they decided not to bother. I may have some mental scarring!

Vorsprung is a trim level now? It is, spreading across the Audi range. Basically means you get most of the options included, a good thing imo.

This is not new...
I remember my father not being amused in about 1990 when he got a new 3.9 Vogue SE as a company car and I mentioned that there was a joke about the difference between hedgehogs and Range Rovers
[Range Rovers have the pr*cks on the inside...]

If it had read; " I’ve just been looking around a new Q8, which my next door neighbour has bought for his young wife to replace his old wife and her Leaf" it would have made more sense.

Just a bit, although the Leaf is still here, it's parked behind the house. He's had a paved area made at the side of the house, but wasn't able to get the kerb dropped so it stayed empty, but that's where the Q8 lives now. SUV or not, I wouldn't fancy bumping up there with 40 profile tyres (22s std on the Vorsprung)

My father appears to have decided that his next car will be an SQ8. I suppose the usual Racing Snr-spec of dark Barbour green metallic, black optics pack and dark brown leather 'n walnut interior will slightly dampen the thrusting visuals, but I'm still not massively convinced.
