Is it one of those colours that would be better if it was just black? I have seen lots of photos but have never seen one in person as far as I am aware.

I liked it a lot, especially in direct sunlight its a fair bit lighter than black. Lighter than Sophisto Grey, for example, which looks almost black under certain light.
