I tried the Micra on it and its clearly just based on an end value divided by the number of months.
It certainly didn't give me anything like an accurate value compared with what I actually got offered as a trade in.

I think that is not accurate. It tells me the 440i would be worth £31k after 4 years. It's not worth that now after just 2 years! Wouldn't be surprised to be offered £25k part-ex. GFV is £17.5k at 4 years.

What Car used to have a really good depreciation calculator that showed value over the years graphically. But it seems to have disappeared from their site. Probably scared the shit out of too many buyers!
