Looks exactly how I would have imagined a slightly bigger Mokka to look like. I'm surprised it's taken Vauxhall to bring out a bigger SUV to compete probably with the Kuga and Tiguan.

Why anyone would want a quick tall car is utterly beyond me. Things like this have all the appeal (to me) of forcing a cucumber down my urethra.

That looks oh so much better then the Crossland X thing that was the other recent addition courtesy of the PSA tie in. This looks like a bigger Mokka X. I reckon that'll sell OK. The mokka has been a sales success, so this probably will be too.

Looks better than the Mokka to my eyes.

This and the Mokka in the same line up makes sense. Having the pram handled Crossland as well definitely does not.
It's like Vauxhall suddenly had a load of new PSA platforms to spin a new model off of and used all of them, rather than being sensible.

Looks perfectly fine to me. I suspect it'll do well in its market.

Why anyone would want a quick tall car is utterly beyond me. Because some of us suffer from bad backs and bending down to get into a low car can be very painful - but we still like to drive fast, from time-to-time. Also taller cars give you better visibility especially where low hedges are involved.......

I've had a bad back for 20 years or so. The Mazda cripples me, but the TVR is fine. It's all about the seats and driving position.

Looks better than the Mokka to my eyes. The contents of my toilet after a Guinness binge looks better than a Mokka.

But I'm another who they don't appeal to, but judging by the number of this type of car on the road, we're in the minority.

Every car I've ever had, if the seat had height adjustment, it would be in the weeds. I much prefer being low down, it's why I love my job - you don't get much closer to the ground than in a Mono.

Exactly how I like to adjust the seat too - how people can drive with the seat in any car at the top or even in the top half of the seat height adjustment is beyond me - it just feels wrong.
The only of this type of car I've ever driven was the Dacia (Duster?) and the seat in that was surprisingly low and the drive was a surprisingly agreeable experience for the short distance I drive it bar all the controls being overlight - but still not the kind of car for me.

Last week my 74 year old aunt, complete with dodgy knee, various bits of early arthritis and also being quite overweight, happily got in and out of the 370. Her husband, my wife and I were all expecting to get a laugh, or at least to have to provide assistance but no humour ensued.

For me I'd like to at least be able to see some of the bonnet in order to better get a feel of the car's size and dimensions. Nowadays with so many cars having curved sloping bonnets it's getting harder to judge the car's front edges without putting your seat way up.

When my gran was in her early 90's she was happy to struggle a little bit to get in and out of a TVR 400SE I'd borrowed just for the experience of seeing how fast it would go, and my nearly 80 year old Mum who has a false hip manages to get in and out of my Scirocco OK.

Aside from our Morris Minor, I can't remember the last time a drove a car where I could see the bonnet from my normal driving position.

All I know is that both of my parents (in their seventies) recently swapped their cars for "softroaders" (the Countryman and an SQ5), as has my father-in-law (Qashqai), and they all cite ease of getting in and out as being a bit part of the appeal. And while my mother has a quick Countryman largely by chance, my father's rationale for getting the quick version was that he has always had quick cars and didn't want to compromise overly on performance just because he wanted a taller seat.

A tidy enough design but I really do not get the SUV trend tbh.
