Wow. It's cold but bright sunshine across here, had to scrape the car but not as much as yesterday.

We have had a sprinkling here. It has been getting gradually colder throughout the morning as the hosepipe is now frozen and it wasn’t at 8am.

It was frosty yesterday morning in Fulham, but it rained overnight so was merely damp and cold this morning (2 degrees at 7am according to the car). Beautiful day at the moment.

Rain overnight on the Surrey-Hampshire border and just a touch of ice this morning. Still above zero at 7am this morning. The sun did come out briefly earlier on, but it's back to being overcast now.
EDIT: It's started snowing now, but not settling...... yet ......

5:30 am start on farm in Dorset this morning, with no snow ( or postmen...) but plenty of ice. The lane to the farm was side to side sheet ice.Blue sky and a reluctant thaw now.

At about 8pm last night the temperature suddenly dropped. I went out to top up the water buckets for the horses and the outside tap had completely frozen. Then it started snowing at 11pm. Only a light covering, but the low temperatures have made sure the small lanes are treacherous.

Yes, it was cold this morning. The skid steer didn’t want to move as the hydro oil was that thick. I had to let it warm up before I could use it.

We had about 2 inches of snow on the ground before I went to bed last night. Was expecting it to be same or worse when I got up, but most of it had melted. It was a balmy zero on the car outside thermometer at 7am this morning and I'm not sure if I needed AWD for only the 3rd or 4th time in just under 2 years, nut I got up the hill/bend on the corner of our road without incident. Once on the main road, there was no sign of snow except on the grassy areas to the sides

Cold here but no snow. Car has had a layer of ice on it for two days that never thaws, even if the car is toasty warm inside.

We had a hard frost that didn't really shift yesterday and woken up this morning to a light dusting of snow. Very cold outside but new insulation on the house already proving its worth.

Getting really tough here too - the other night I had to run the demister on the screen for thirty seconds before I could drive off!

We’ve had some snow overnight, similar amount to in Johns pic at the top of this thread.
We live at the bottom of a hill and a couple of people struggled to get up it in one go, Lindsay has just driven up and as you’d expect, no issues.
I’m working from home today, so no opportunity to go out and play. As long as it’s clear for the airport run tomorrow, that’s all that matters.

We seem to be in some unique micro-climate here. Very cold and frosty but no snow. None. The papers had pictures of snow in Wales and in Manchester. We're slap bang in the middle of the those two.

Car temperature this morning varied from -7 at the house to -8.5 at the office. No snow and now a stunning blue sky day.

When I left work yesterday afternoon about 4:30pm the car thermometer said -5C. At home, half an hour later it was +3C.... 8 deg difference in under 20 miles. The snow started late evening and by 11pm everything was covered, more fell overnight, maybe 8cm this morning but as I was only the 2nd car in my road to venture out, I didn't have much trouble, even negotiating the steep hill just around the corner from home. Not many people have made it into work this morning though !

Just been on a call with my Swindon Warehouse and it's getting worse in the local area. It stopped about 10am here and is now melting.

It was merely wet this morning in Fulham. A bit of rapidly melting wet snow on the cars, but none on the ground. And it's just sleeting in the City this morning.

Coming down like anything here. We don't usually get snow being so far from the edges.

Funny how localised it can be. Winchester had a scant few melting cm, but halfway to Newbury up the A34 this morning and it was getting pretty serious (not that it stopped three classes of vehicle - BMW, HGV, or Van from slowing from normal motorway speeds!!!) with slush across the road and some snow in the lanes. One particular hero in a 5 series Touring tailgated the crap out of me at 70 before it got that bad, which was helpful - I bet he has winter tyres on as well, and was willy waving much like some of the various SUV's out currently, going too fast... One car, an RX8, had crashed badly going the other way on the A34, UK drivers and conditions, eh... I just wanted a lot of space from other road users personally, myself, I trust... As soon as I got off the A34 at Newbury - which was part of a localised amber warning at the time - there was quite deep snow and very few people about. I've been out in it again and it's quite full-on, and snowing properly here all morning - due to carry on to past 5 which will be interesting! My GF's Q3 is sat under deep snow, we have used mine all morning I always forget how much you still need to drive a heavy RWD car in snow even on winters, you need to correct oversteer rapidly to keep in your lane when accelerating or going uphill, it feels acceptable but not mighty like the 330i did on slimmer tyres in deep snow. Next winter I'll change the winter rears to the S3 Sottozeros like the fronts - the "new old stock" S2 Sottozeroes on there were 5 years olf when I bought them (for a third of new price at £100 each) are on their 4th winter and nearing 4mm tread now. Unless I can find some cheap Bridgestones (since they now own my company and doubtless by next winter I'll be able to get big discounts ) but Bridgestone don't make the right sizes for my rears - either set (285/30/20 or 295/30/20) so I may have to be creative on sizes. Nice to see some snow again, and to have to really drive a bit anyway!

A lady my wife plays tennis with has just texted her to say someone has skidded into her parked Mercedes. How annoying must that be!
