Doesn't make a lot of difference to me - I perhaps cross it in the toll direction a max of 10 times a year and rarely have to wait more than 10-15 mins to get through, but for people who have to cross it every day, it's going to be a useful saving in both money and (hopefully soon) time.

Yes but even if the tolls remained they’d probably move over to a Dartford Crossing style anpr system so it was never a career that was going to last much longer anyway. I thhink it’s good for South Wales as, although it’s never stopped me visiting, for those who live nearer it will encourage more frequent trips to the region. Monmouthshire will likely see more commuters from Bristol moving out there which will give it a boost.
