Lots of clever tech here and I like the interior. I'm curious to know what the engine sounds like, regular petrol or more diesely?

Best looking hatch in that segment for me.

I like that and I hope the new engine technology is a great success: it is supposed to offer near diesel levels of torque and economy with low petrol emissions.

Really?
I'm getting shades of the "Chrysler Crossfire / dog doing a dump" comparison from that rear 3/4...

I was going to sat that I might've been a bit hasty getting the Micra but then I saw that the starting price is £21k

The rear on the hatch isn't that successful but the front is nice and the saloon / fastback version looks pleasant.

I'm getting shades of Mk2 Astra No but yes. The rear 3/4 has a whiff of that Daewoo which was an Astra.

Either way, even if this was the best looking, best handling, best value car out there, not many people would buy it as it isn't mainstream in the same way as a Ford or a Vauxhall or a Peugeot and it's not "premium" like a VW or Audi or BMW. So it will sit in that inbetween yet again.

There's mention of an AWD version in the text. The tickles my interest a little, unlike those massive C pillars.

At least it hasn't got the wanky reverse raked C pillar windows like almost every hatchback has right now.

The windows on the rear doors seem unnecessarily tiny to my eyes.
