I think the bonnet vents being black make the arse end of a pale car look droopy.
I really don't like the vertical high-level brakelights either.

Are those vents functional or to make us think it's air cooled? Which no Porsche had been since the 90s?

Nope, its a cheap plastic cover for the engine bay that when open, all you have access to is the coolant and oil and no sight of an engine. Bit like the Cayman

Every review comments how rapid it is for a ‘base’ 911.
A video on you tube has a 0-300 kph run,on my stopwatch it was hitting 160kmh in under 7 seconds but it’s hard to time those things correctly,but it’s very very fast regardless.
