I remember liking the Koenig Ferrari Boxer at the time, I think my eyesight must've improved since then.
The Range Rover appears to have been especially vistimised

B and B did some amazing Porsche conversions back in the 80’s. Strosek was another company that did similar. Hateful in the day but has a certain cool now.

A lot of those Range Rover conversions, while being a bit kit car and nasty in many cases, were clearly way ahead of their time. Or it is further proof that there is no such thing a s "new idea" in car design? You can now get a 6 wheeled Merc AMG G Class. You can now get lots of posh / pseudo posh pick ups. You can now get an Evoque convertible. There are loads of 7 seat SUV's.  |

My god I've just looked at this. I remember Chameleon quite well as they always showed at Earl's Court (the real motorshow) but some of those Range Rover conversions are puke-a-licious.

I loved the Strosek 928 - the mags all tested a dark blue one I remember.
Didn't he end up dead as a result of some drug dealing?

That was Uwe Gemballa if I remember rightly, shot in SA as part of some Money Laundering scheme.

I've done a bit of Googling and maybe it was a Strosek 928 I lusted after.
I'm going to have to refer to my collection of old Fast Lanes to see!
