Can Hamilton win a race after winning the championship, and break with his "tradition"?

I am sure the pressure will be maintained until Mercedes have the manufacturer's championship in the bag. However I think it is more likely that Bottas will be the hard charger till the end of the season.

I see LH acting in the support role and Valteri told to go for it.

Haas have lost their appeal against disqualification in Italy, so at least I don't have to go back and re-do the scores again!

Well, Bottas set fastest lap once again and is now "champion" of fastest laps this year.
Not quite sure where Ocon was supposed to go to get out of Max's way as he was "trapped" on the inside with the only real option being to brake hard and fall behind, but there wasn't much time or space to do that. If Max had been a bit more cautious and given him some more room, things would have worked out differently. With the 2 cars having interlocked wheels during the "pass", the incident could have ended up much worse than the actual outcome.

Agreed, Max once again having a strop and showing his idiocy by threatening another driver over the air. Does he think he is bullet proof? I thought what LH and others said was on the money, Ocon was faster at that point and within his rights to unlap himself and Max had more to lose. Short fuse and ability in equal measure which is a shame. What could have gone wrong if Ocon had just been allowed to go? Is it worth the risk?

He sounds like a very angry young man and someone needs to calm him down. Doesn't sound like that someone is going to be Daddy or the Red Bull team though.....

The sad thing is, until he's told; he will never be championship material, this is his 4th year in F1 and he's still a dick, he's a fantastic driver but he needs to he reigned in and no one is telling him to do so, he is very much in danger of being a wasted talent.

Disappointed that Bottas did not have a better race, I understand that the medium tyre did neither of them any favours but Hamilton did better. Has Bottas given up?

^ Beforehand he said the opposite, that with the title decided and effectively no team orders, he was going all out to win the last 2 races. However it didn't look that way although he seems to struggle more with the car set-up than Lewis does. I know I only got 2 points this time round, but when I saw the results of FP3, I thought "I bet Lewis gets pole with one of those "where on earth did that come from?" laps, and, as we now know, he did.

I think we could start applying that question every weekend to at least one of Bottas' race laps too.
James Hunt used to get angry about, I think it was, Rene Arnoux or de Cesaris when they regularly did the fastest laps near to the end. The question, always valid, was along the lines of 'he's just gone 2 seconds quicker than everyone else, why not do it for the whole race?'.

From:- www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/11146661/Andrea-de-Cesaris-obituary.html“Murrayisms”: “Andrea de Cesaris — the man who has won more Grands Prix than anyone else without actually winning one of them.” His colleague in the commentary box, former racing driver James Hunt, was more to the point: “Andrea de Cesaris should really be called de Crasheris. He’s an embarrassment to himself, his team and the sport, and maybe he should retire.”
