I wonder if a previous incident gave them the idea for the Evoque convertible?! A neighbour has one....it’s a truly awful thing.
I’ve had a few bridge strikes to deal with in my career, they usually get in the press so you have to involve your PR department, thankfully most bridges are much stronger than a trailer as it would get really expensive if you caused structural damage.. The worst was a double deck getting wedged under a petrol station canopy which got on the local TV news and caused a bit of chaos.

God knows what the truck was doing there anyway - the LR garage is at the other end of Perth, they should've gone round the bypass instead of through the town. Mind you there's a railway bridge just along from the LR garage and it often gets hit.....

There's a rail bridge not too far from here, on the A5, that is frequently hit. There are signs, illuminated height warnings for over height trucks etc. but it still gets hit 2 or 3 times a month.
