Looks incredibly smart. Shame a real one never made it out of the factory. Would have been a far better use of MG's funds than poncing about with the MG SV X Power rubbish. They did do a mock up at one point -

That looks fantastic.
Isn't it one of the proposals that was blocked by BMW, thus partially contributing towards the demise of Rover? I'm sure there were a few things they objected in fear of it taking away from the main parent - in hindsight not something to be concerned about as VW Group have shown successfully with the cheaper end of the platform sharing companies suffering the lowest sales!

Didn't BMW basically only buy Rover so they could learn how to build FWD architecture for the Bini? Rover were the equivalent of the scrap car you buy in its entirety because you want the gearbox and the cost of the whole car is only a few quid more than the gearbox alone.

Also, matey boy with the 75 Coupe missed a trick in not basing it on the ZT260.

No, they bought it for Land Rover but for much the same reason.

I've not heard the term "Bini" used for over 15 years!

Also, matey boy with the 75 Coupe missed a trick in not basing it on the ZT260. I read the article in the mag a few weeks ago and the 1-off looks magnificent if a touch dated these days. The ZT260 would have added further complications and the running costs would have been far worse (albeit they would pale into insignificance compared to the build costs !)

I don't really get it, it doesn't have the same cohesion of the prototype in the thread above, you can tell the roof comes from a much more angular car and the chrome vent on the wing would be better left off the BMW never mind this. Still, I'm sure the world would be poorer without those prepared to do this kind of stuff.

I was thinking more the RWD and V8 goodness.

I have to admit to liking that, just as much as at the original unveiling. Classy.

It's a remarkable job with only the front pillars looking slightly unresolved - I also like the fun of the push-me-pull-you version and the fact he would put so many hours into something a bit daft - he must be very skilled. I keep expecting to see one of these with them not being far away, but have yet to enjoy a sighting.
