Trying a new place for service etc, the last left half the jobs I asked them to do and took two days to do it. The new place has asked if they can keep the car overnight so not the greatest but I will have to wait to judge. Either way I shall find out tomorrow.

Are you doing this based on recommendations or by hopefulness/optimism?

One of the residents here has used the company for nearly ten years and not had a problem. I talked to them first, face to face. I got the car back today and the cost seems reasonable if the car behaves right it'll be OK, on probation I think. £140 near enough although the crossed off items come across as someone filling out the form an THEN asking what was done. Especially as Bess has no air or oil filters to replace. Malvern tyres were the only ones I could get to even quote for tyres, too old and unusual a size to care about and £50 per corner for economy tyres because "They are the only ones we can get in that size", does not bode well. Suck it and see for a few years.

Went back to Malvern tyres today and they were very helpful, Very happy and Bess feels much better through the feedback perspective. I doubt the tyres are anything wonderful but on first impressions they will do what I need. Back to Crofts a week on monday for some new brake shoes and job is done.

Sounds more promising. I hope she behaves.
