That’s sad. An absolute legend. I loved Smokey and the Bandit (still do) and Magnum.

I loved Cannonball Run. It was an absurd film but brilliant for the cast alone.

I’ve got Cannonball Run 1 on DVD. The opening sequence with the Lamborghini is one of my favourite bits of film. The wailing v12 makes it.

Sally Field in Smokey... always makes me look at Mrs Doubtfire in a funny way....

One of the few men who could wear a 'tache and not look like he belonged on the register. RIP.
