From those picture it looks crap. In profile it looks squashed yet with details that are too big for it. It looks a lot like the children's toy car version of the future Z4.

I prefer the Supra basically. The Z4 is not refined enough style wise, too conflicted.

The Z4 looks like pretty much anybody's current interpretation of a car in that class, you could probably stick any manufacturers badges on it.

It's a pity it doesn't grab you like the old car did. It will also be interesting to see the front. It looks more like an MX5 which might make it a hard sell at twice the price. |

I guess that they asked a focus group of likely customers and came up with that. BMW are a PITA with products to market: they show things like the CSL concept which shows retro themes in a modern interpretation then they release this kind of mundane shit that could be a Mazda, a Honda, a Toyota - anything but a BMW stand-out-from-the-crowd product.

The rear 3/4 view reminded me of the original Viper. Sadly I don’t see BMW sticking a V10 in there!
It looks ok but then so did the last Z4 and the one before that. Doesn’t seem like BMW ever want to set the world alight with this model. It’s almost like they just don’t really care about it but feel they need to have such a model in their line up.
