Probably a pay for drive want to be. Until they improve none of the real talent will touch them. The article about rule changes comes across as a bit pathetic frankly. The others did a better job.

Sad to see him go, but not surprised; it's been painful watching him waste his talent at Mclaren. I'm not a fan of the political bullshit or his penchant for tearing teams in two. But when it comes to dragging everything out of the car - any car - on every corner of every lap, he remains the best of his generation.
I'd guess that Sainz will take his seat, and that Red Bull will promote Gasly to replace Ricciardo.

Lando Norris as a replacement maybe. At least Vandorne will get another season.
Such a shame, I was never much of an Alonso fan but have warmed to him over the last few years and he deserved a decent shot in a title winning car. Hamilton vs Alonso in the Merc would have been electric.

Seems the musical chairs has been going on for a while. There was a pitchbook made up to try and entice Riccardo to McLaren a couple of months ago, not that you're going to give up your Red Bull seat for McLaren.
