Not a new car, but a new bike. And not a motorised one either. I've been after a full suspension bike for some time and after perusing many, many new bikes available on finance, I decided to go down my usual path and build something for not very much money. So, I bought a frame off Ebay for the princely sum of £40 delivered (In the Show Us Your Motors thread). I then set about transferring over all my tried and trusted parts off my current, long suffering bike.
I had to lose my front gearset as the frame doesn't allow for my derailleur to operate, so I had to convert back to a single ring front system and dig out my old chain guide to stop it falling off. I then decided that, seeing as I had a large piece of carbon fibre sheet lying around (as you do) to make a disc for the rear of the crank to prevent the chain slipping down the back.
Which was fine, until the front of the crank looked a bit bare, so I made one for there as well:
Total outlay so far: £40. New tyres were free, courtesy of a mate who has upgraded to larger wheels.

That's actually my guitar kit box that just happened to be in the way.

Good work. You should have said, I think I've got 2 Shimano and several other type bash guards collecting dust. And come to think of it two little N-Gear jump stops for the inside.
