The XC70 is going in September, hurrah! Tomorrow it’s going in for it’s annual service and another courtesy car awaits. Place your bets but I’m kind of hoping for a V90. I suspect I’ll be given one of those little things though.

There will be a thread on that nearer the time. There are no surprises.

Waitomo grey.
I've been given an S60 D2. It's unpleasant.

Have you ordered a new Disco 5 or are you opting for a late 4?

I'm getting a late Discovery 4 Landmark. I went around the houses a bit, tested a used Discovery 5 (which was the most disgustingly presented used cars I've ever experienced) and started looking to get one of those but by the time I'd found a model I really liked it was £60k ( this one, incidentally)and that was more than I wanted to pay. I'm getting a trade in which will be approved used and and is a known good example. Looking forward to it.

Make sure you have all-singing-and-dancing breakdown cover on the D4. I know several people who have late-model D4s and they've all suffered serious failures to proceed.

Herself's '4 was in the garage for some 6 weeks IIRC, much of which was the garage and LR Engineers arguing firstly about what was actually wrong with it and second, how to fix it! I went to retrieve a few things from it one day and it was sitting on a 4-post hoist with most of its guts on the floor! Most disconcerting, I have to say. I think it was some form of software vs hardware interface issue in the end, but exactly what I have no idea. Still, Landmark's were the run-out equivalent of her HSE and I imagine (ohpe!) they got things sorted out by that point. Enjoy it anyway Michael - she did, and it's an immensely capable car for pretty much anything you could want I reckon!
