Not me but Mrs RT who is back in Italy for six weeks as she has changed jobs and wangled the rest of the summer off before starting her new one at the start of September. I’m endeavouring not to be jealous.
She needs a car whilst in Italy, so we considered whether she should drive down either in her car or mine but then found a deal from her local branch of Avis in Italy which struck me as excellent: a month’s hire of a “Peugeot 208 or similar” with unlimited mileage for £335 all-in.
And I gather the “or similar” has turned out to be a nearly brand-new Renault Clio with a 1.5 diseasel engine and some sort of ritzy spec (has ample FG including SatNav apparently). Only downside is that it is black which is not Italian summer heat-friendly, but all-in-all it seemed something of a bargain.

Can you blag some time "working from Italy"? Or have you not been at your new job long enough to agree that?

Sadly I think that would be pushing it. It’s quite relaxed here about such things but relaxed is not quite the look I’m aspiring to for the moment...
I’ll go out a couple of times when I can and hope to get a week off at some point in August.

Here is the mighty Clio: A perfectly decent little car considering it must be up for replacement pretty imminently. The one thing you always notice with cars in markets like Italy is some of the odd specs they have. This one has built-in Sat-Nav, parking sensors and an uprated sound system but steel wheels, a plastic steering wheel (horrid) and windy rear windows.

The Clio has long been one of my favourite Renaults, it's a very nice design. Far better, IMO, that the rather frumpy Captur, particularly in that nice metallic red they do.

Yes I like that red too.
Mrs Racing seems to have been quite pleased with it too. She did two 5hr drives in it (to Puglia and back) without complaint.
