I was downstairs cooking dinner last night when I got a text (sigh, modern life) from The Boy in his bedroom. Apparently a mate of his had posted on something called 'Snapchat' that there were "loads of flash cars" at a local pub.
Sadly I was busy at that point, but through a mysterious series of events I accidentally found myself ambling into the pub later that night.
The event seemed to be mainly over, save for a few loud happy types in the bar. Left in the car park were a pink DB9, a white Aston Martin V12 Vantage S (my personal favourite dream car), a GT-R and in the corner a Lamborghini Aventador, which looked incredible and a yellow Huracan which looked a lot better in real life than in pictures. Still prefer the Gallardo though.
I was lucky enough to hear the Aventador start up and leave, and was surprised that it sounded a bit 'thin', until given the beans down the road. The Vantage sounded better, with a kinda anger to it.
I did of course get my phone out for photos... But astoundingly and delightfully I discovered the pub sold several rather charming ciders, so...
