I get their reasoning (that engine capacity means squat these days), but that's a bizarre way to go about doing it.
Like, why does it start at 30? And why are there gaps in the power ratings?

Random as random gets, but I just remembered that, the date has come and gone but the old forum is still standing.
So much for being shut down. Oh well.

It looks okay to me. Bit like a mini F12.

Interesting.
Maybe it's just my age but I find no problems adapting to the various different infotainment systems in different cars. Some take a bit longer than others, but in general the Germans are pretty good.

In any case Mac has their word processing and spreadsheet equivalent in Pages and Numbers, which work just as well (IMO) and have Word/Excel cross compatibility. So no issues for me on that front too.

I currently use a MacBook Air, my first Mac after years of Windows. I found the transition relatively painless, in part because I got some experience from work (where the magazines are laid out on Macs and I've had to learn some of it), in part also because the newer Windows (8 and 10) are maddeningly complicated as compared to previous versions.
It's ironic that I find Mac easier to use than Windows now, whereas it was the opposite less than a decade ago.

Hmm. Not a bad idea really.
The current XJ's been around since 2010 I believe, so yeah, it's pretty long in the tooth.

Not surprised. Such a car would only really work in America or the Middle East. They'll probably do better with the spin-off brand.
I've driven one. It's actually very nice, but I can't shake the feeling somehow that it's just a big, luxurious taxi.

I think some of the lack of concern about damaging other people's property comes from the fact that perpetrators never get punished. The Police aren't interested unless someone has been hurt.
However if there was some quick system where car park CCTV evidence could be used to prosecute and fine an individual for damage and force a claim on their insurance, attitudes might change. The issue might be getting sufficiently detailed CCTV footage but at least where it exists, punishment should be possible. This. Very much this. There was a rather infamous case around here a while back where, even with clear video evidence, a case of intentional vandalism was left unpunished. The police basically told the owner to file a civil suit as it involved personal property. What utter bollocks.

While I don't condone nor enjoy it, sadly scratches and dings are a part and parcel of driving and parking in public spaces. They're not an excuse to act like a twat and deny others a rightful parking spot.

Logitech are good for mouses (mice?). I generally prefer wired ones that don't require batteries. Much more convenient and you don't have to bother with flat batteries.

They're too sniffy for that. Audi too.
Actually it seems that Mercedes is the outlier in having a commercial vehicle division.

Wireless CarPlay/Andriod Auto are available in some newer cars I think, and should be commonplace soon.
But for now the usable apps are mostly native ones (like CarPlay's navigation is Apple Maps) with only a handful of third party compatibility. I'm sure in time to come more apps will be designed and programmed for use in CP/AA. However, it's a bit of a chicken and egg situation though. There needs to be more widespread use of CP/AA before app developers decide that it's worth adapting their apps accordingly.

They're both childish wankers IMHO. They should just let them both settle it privately, mano a mano.
