No, not the name of the new car (The Vantage Shenanigan) but rather reading an article giving high praise of Vettel by Szafnauer in the morning then reading Szafnauer has left in the afternoon. Then Twitter is alive with "Vettel for Team Principle" (when Whitmarsh is more likely) as well as "Vettel is an arse" (because he's pointed out that the unlimited Autobahn will be a thing of the past at some date, whilst living in Switzerland - indicating that you are not allowed an opinion on your home country when you've moved abroad).

Does seem a little off that they employed Whitmarsh earlier in the season to learn the ropes and then sack Szafnauer in the off season once Whitmarsh has his feet fully under the table. I'm sure an employment lawyer will have a field day on how its been handled. I understand however that the decision has been made by both parties so maybe he's been handsomely paid off already.
It was always on the cards though wasn't it. Otmar seems a very nice guy but he wasn't really the right fit for someone like Stroll who I imagine rules using stick more then carrot.

I agree, I think ever since Aston announced that Whitmarsh was joining Aston Otmar's position has been unclear. Considering Whitmarsh was Team Principal at McLaren, before working under Ron Dennis and all that success, they would be silly not to involve him in the F1 team. Mind you, if you read about the executive turmoil at Aston generally, maybe leaving the company now might be a right-time. Especially after missing another earnings target....
