As we've been unable to have events in the Clubhouses the RAC has been running online events. I've attended a couple and last night was Tom Kristensen, Mr Le Mans himself.
Fabulous chat between him and John Hindhaugh, the voice of Le Mans and if the Club hadn't time bound the session I suspect TK would've carried on until this evening!
George Russell next week: I'll let you know if the new Williams is going to win the title.......

Wow, a conversation between Tom Kristensen and Hindhaugh. That would be a great combo worth listening to.

Wow, a conversation between Tom Kristensen and Hindhaugh. That would be a great combo worth listening to. They did a dinner a few years ago. Audi paid for a load of Media stuff and the whole thing was awesome. I was more impressed that after the dinner in the bar about 4 hours later TK remembered my name! He’s probably the best class 1 driver in terms of personality I’ve met. Derek Bell is the same: perhaps it’s just Le Mans winners that are so “normal”.

Ah yes I remember you mentioning you met Kristensen a few years ago. He does seem like a great guy. He is always worth listening to, very eloquent and the fact that he has raced in so many different championships means his perspective is worth listening to. I always think that if F1 were to have a permanent driver steward, it should be Kristensen.
That first picture, the bloke on the left. Stefan Johansson. Another fantastic person to listen to. He has a fantastic perspective about the state of modern motorsport. I wish more people would listen to him. Johansson had a long and successful career. He raced in F1 in the 80’s and 90’s, raced in IndyCar and sportscars. He still races occasionally now.

Yeah: Johansson was invited to a Gulf event I was also a guest at just before lock down in 2020 began but couldn't make it. Shame but he'll be around sometime.
