Had mine on the 15th. Bit of sore arm, but nowt else. Mind you, I'd had my cancer jab two days before, so was already feeling pretty shitty. My consuktant has been having fits over me not being in the first batch, but he has fits about me still wortking anyway. Christ knows what he'll be like when he finds out Im no longer working behind a desk and am renovating houses and cleaning vans instead.

I felt a bit grotty about 8 hours after the jab on Friday, woke up on Saturday feeling about 60% and just plodded on getting stuff done, had a snooze in the afternoon. A hot bath and a couple of cold beers later, I was right as rain.

My father-in-law was given his first shot of the Pfizer one (it having been determined by his doctor in Italy that he'd be better off not having the AZ one) and immediately came down with an outbreak of shingles. Apparently this is not unheard of as a potential side effect in the immuno-depressed/suppressed (which he is).

I have never had it but my wife has and she was like a bear with a sore head for a fortnight.

I got shingles in my early 20s thinking I was invincible working through a cold and doing crazy hours. I had it across my face, was in agony for a month with constant headache/nerve pain looking like John Merrick, and was very lucky to save my eyesight (just a little scar tissue left)
I still get a shingle tingle in my forehead if I start to get rundown, or if I come into contact with someone with chicken pox

He seems to be ok now and had his second dose of Pfizer today (in Italy they do a 21 day dosing interval). Hope he’s still ok tomorrow.

I had my second AZ jab on the way home from work last Friday evening, and was prepared to have been wiped out and spending most of the weekend in bed. Instead I woke early on Saturday and went out to do some shopping, having totally forgotten that I'd had an injection. No reaction at all this time, not even a slightly sore arm

Presumably as you already have antibodies to whatever is used as the carrier for the vaccine.

Well, some people have reported having bad reactions to the second jab (and some to the first). It was only 8 weeks between jabs

Lindsey had a bad reaction to her first. Flu like symptoms and fast heartbeat with palpitations.

Our niece was wiped out by first and second. She’s 18 and no health issues.

The chances are that there is a vulnerable person in the household or bubble.

Both her parents are front line health workers so the household is all vaccinated, including her brother who’s at medical school 3. Their health insurance picks up the bill.

Fair enough that's some pretty compelling reasons!

I had my first just over a week ago, the AZ one. I was well prepared for a day or two of feeling shite as plenty of very well people I know (it often seems the younger/healthier ones) were ill, some in my team had a day off of work for the first time in ages.
I got.... nothing. Let's see how jab 2 goes.

Had my first (Oxford AZ) on 21st Feb and felt rough as anything within about 8 hours. It took until early afternoon the next day until I felt OK again. Had my 2nd yesterday and had a very mild headache last night, which could have been anything, really, but that was it. Felt fine today. Arm only very slightly tender at the vaccination site.

Tell that to the shitbags in SAGE who are now ramping up the fear and doom again.

Yes but surely the one thing we know for certain about viruses is that they mutate so while things are looking good they're not 100% perfect.
My view on the SAGE people is to assume that they take the ultra H&S approach in the full knowledge that the general populace will take account of about 5% of anything they say so the real position/balance is somewhere between the 'it's gone forever, lets not worry about it again' brigade and the 'lock yourself indoors, never have physical closeness/contact ever again' mob.

There is big difference between “ keeping a close and watchful eye on things “ and “ attempting to noisily and deliberately derail what is already an extremely tortuous and excessively wet release from fucking lockdown “
Only a few days ago, the chief numberwang bellend was in the press admitting their recent scenario modelling and third wave doom scenario was total bollocks, but now a few days later they are talking about lockdowns for one of many variants that they have known about for months.
They are game playing cunts

Quite but what are they getting from it apart from regular press appearances?
Do you think they'll start appearing on 'I'm a Celebrity...' type programmes to earn a few extra bucks from now being known?

I couldn’t possibly think what would motivate a bunch of left wing leaning, conservative hating drama queens who are revelling in the newly found power and influence they wield.
I’m fairly sure if I had been instrumental in producing woefully inaccurate modelling and half truths that was used to justify a series of actions that have no historical precedent, have caused untold damage (fiscal, social and emotional) to millions and will end causing far more damage overall than they were intended to avoid, I wouldn’t be in a rush to let the country get back to normal either.

Then they're complete bell-ends then. Apart from the guy who got booted out for being a twat (yet still gets asked his opinion) I have zero idea who any of them are.
