The best kind of humour. I often wonder what my wife would think if she were a fly on the wall for an average day at work with me: 10 blokes, an infinite supply of coffee and lots of silliness.

Nurse's humour can be pretty dark sometimes, especially in psychiatry. Sadly, the current crop of youngsters are often far too PC to be able to freely give vent to much of what we may wish to, assisted by a couple of bosses with sticks SO far up their fundaments it defies belief!!
However, our two most recent recruits are quite non-PC, so things have relaxed a bit more recently. Thank fuck!!

Too much rude humour is frowned upon in my line of work, lest it upsets someone. But, fuck it, it goes on anyway. Sometimes it's the only way to make it through the working day!

Mind you, I do drop the C-bomb from time to time; not always deliberately either, it has to be admitted! I'm a bit sweary much of the time - I'm sure my mother would be horrified!

What a boring world it is going to be in the future if even humour has to fit the PC model. These people really need to get a grip of themselves (although that might be considered self harming!). I am pleased to say that we have the most politically incorrect person you could imagine in the office and he is hilarious. Thankfully no one takes offence because the laughs make the day so much easier sometimes.

What a boring world it is going to be in the future if even humour has to fit the PC model. If you are old enough to remember the comedy TV series "Love thy neighbour" from not-that-long-ago, there is no way that it would be allowed on TV now........ How times have changed

I think it's just a case of tailoring your humour to the people you are with. Some of the jokes we make en famille are not appropriate for the wider world, but we all understand the values on which they are based. Someone who didn't might arrive at rather different conclusions.
And thinking about it, humour hasn't suffered from losing the likes of the Irish joke that I am sure many of us remember from school. Mind Your Language would be another that wouldn't be made now; and thank fuck - it was horribly unfanny (I won't correct my typo there) and blatantly racist even when it was aired!

We've had an "educational" video circulated about it, for fuck's sake!

Ripping the absolute piss out of people; satire; risque jokes; swearing; sarcasm; understatement etc. British humour and culture at its best.

I was curious to find out what had happened to get this thread blocked as NSFW and am surprised at what did it !

I don' geddit. Why is there an S in some places and an F in others? Seems intentional to me... An 'S' how we would recognise it now was used as a capital letter and at the end of a word. All other places use the odd looking f type letter.
